Work Permits

Individuals do not need a work permit to work in the UK if they are:

• a British citizen
• an EEA citizen (including Bulgaria and Romania)
• a Swiss national
• Individuals from any other country will require a work permit before they can work in the UK.

The main work visas currently open to new applicants are:

• Tier 1: High Value Migrants
• Tier 2: Skilled Workers
• Tier 4: Students
• Tier 5: Temporary Workers
